Egg Facial

I have finally found a cheap and easy facial that I actually enjoy. Not to mention, you can do it at home so that's always a plus. I usually do this after I get out of the shower when my pores are nice and open.

1st- I take one egg and crack it open.
2nd- Split the egg whites and the yolk into 2 separate bowls.
3rd- Take a fork to the egg whites. When you see bubbles you know it's good to go
4th- Rub the egg whites on your face, keeping away from eyes of course, and wait until its dry. You can always use the "smile technique."
5th- Wash it off with warm water.

For step number 6, take the egg yolk and rub on your face and allow to dry as well. And rinse. The egg yolk will act as a natural moisturizer.

After the egg facial, I usually follow up with a green tea ice facial to keep the moisturizers locked in. To make the Green tea cubes just follow these few steps

1. Take a glass of water and put it in the microwave until its warm.
2. Open a green tea bag and pour the contents into the glass.
3. Stir.
4. Pour the contents of the glass into an ice cube tray and freeze.

Just that simple!

Hope this helps! I know after countless tries and remedies that did nothing but either dry my face out or make it very oily, I have finally found one that gives me what I need!

Equipment Failure

I have had numerous blogs in mind. Quite a few, really. From clothes, to shoes, to new smashbox makeup I'm over the moon about (EEEEE!), my hauls and blogs have become less and less. However, I do have a very good explanation... My camera is broken. Seriously fried. I cut it on to take the pictures and the screen just went completely fuzzy and wouldn't even take a picture. So, getting frustrated with it, I turned to my trusty blackberry. Yeah, well so much for that, it won't even let me send pictures to any of the 10 email address I have. So I am literally up the creek without a paddle. The last haul I did with the lotions and hair products I actually had to go and copy the pictures off Bing (sorry Bing I didn't cite you for them) but I have alot of new outfits and shoes and I can't do that with them =( So ladies, I regret to inform you that I shall not be doing hauls until I can get equipment that isn't completely lame. I have been looking at a Nikon D3100. =) My birthday is coming up in less than a month.. shall we say "happy birthday to myself?" hehe!

As for what I'm listening to right now.. bringing it back old school! Enjoy!

Save the Day

Hi Dolls!

I went out shopping this afternoon and managed to pick up a few goodies. I went to Bath and Body Works and picked up the Aromatherapy lotions Sensual Blackcurrent and Vanilla and Stress relieving eucalyptus Spearmint. They smell devine! The Spearmint will definitely open up your airways that's for sure and the blackcurrent helps strike the mood ;) or soooo the bottle says (hehe). Anywho, I also picked up one of their new fragrances called Country Chic (Chick or Sheek is debatable on pronunciations.) Then, I mozied over to Wal-Mart to pick up some Tresemme Heat Tamer and Coconut Milk Anti Breakage Hair Serum. The Heat Tamer I see used by everyone on YouTube and they absolutely swear by it so I'm gonna make a bold switch from my CHI heat protectant and try this out for once. The Coconut milk nourishes hair while the other ingredients (egg whites, shae butter, and coconut oil) add strength and hydration. I have also heard alot of good things about this too so were gonna see and I will keep you guys updated! I did buy clothes and a few pairs of shoes but that haul will be saved for another day!

Now for a sweet story, While leaving, I ran into a bit of trouble. My car wouldn't start! The wires that connect the fuse box to the battery came out! I was stranded.. Then, along came a very hunky Army Soldier to help me out. He then proceeded to explain what the problem was and told me how it could be fixed. Then drove me across the road to buy a new wire and he spent an hour fixing it for me =) Needless to say, he got my number and I owe him dinner. Wonderful end to a Monday wouldn't you say?!

Bad Hair Day

Vitamins, shampoos, heat bans... why aren't they working!?

My hair refuses to grow.. I have tried everything I can think of and quite frankly, we have a very strong love/hate relationship...  I watched a few YouTube videos today on "tips to make your hair grow." In every one of them, the following was listed: Heat ban came in at #1.. (ha, with my Foxy in Goldmember frizzy hair.. I don't think so) drinking lots of water followed closely in 2nd (I have about 8 bottles a day, A DAY!) and a nice trim every 6-8 weeks. Well, at the rate my hair grows, if I trimmed it every 6-8 weeks, I'd be bald. I have tried vitamins too. Been taking Biotin for about a year.. Still nothing. My hair has grown 2 inches since last august. Anywho, the reason for my post is basically just to rant about my hate more than love relationship with my hair and share this awesome song im currently listening to. =)
I first heard Mumford and Sons on my trip to Seattle.  Absolutely Fantastic..

[ Insert Topic Here ]

When I created this blog, it's intended purpose was to give my opinion and perspective of all things beauty and fashion. As I look back, I have come to the realization that, as I do have a fond love for fashion, writing about it is just not my forte.  I always dreamed of being a big magazine editor in New York. "You watch to many movies," all of my "supporters" would tell me. "You shouldn't belittle yourself pumpkin, your going to med school!" My dad would say. Well, sorry Dad, getting pregnant at a young age demolished all my hopes and dreams of starring out of the window on the 23rd floor of a skyrise with an awesome view and my name on a gold plaque, as well as your hopes of me being Dr. Tiffany. Now, as I sit here, starring starry-eyed over other well accomplished Youtubers, Tweeters, and Bloggers, I realize I am not them, nor will I ever be them, no matter how hard I try. As far as I'll go, im sure, is my desk in my manager position at an insurance agency. A job that I loathe, because of the mere fact that it is not me in any fashion, and stuck here, in this place that has been dubbed "the circle of hell" by all who come through. My life right now can be summed up pretty easily, stuck, like a rock on the side of a riverbed. Oh, I got distracted, anywho, the point of this blog is to reiterate my plans for it. It won't be about any ONE thing in particular. I believe a great blog is made up of a variety of topics. It would get boring after a while, wouldn't you say? If I just so happen to run to the store and buy a makeup product, I may just so happen to do a review on it. If I read a good book (Pride and Prejudice at the moment) then I may just so happen do a review on that subject. Or, if I feel giddy and decide to make up something totally random to entice you lovely readers, I may just do that. Now, to bid you farewell for the night and leave you with a music video =) Enjoy!

What's Acceptable in the Fashion World?

Cosmo, Glamour, Allure, Vogue, these are all magazines women deem as their bibles. Everyday, the pages of the magazines are flipped through, drooled on, and dog-eared with the hopes of one day looking like the models in these magazines. Everything is about what's in and what's not. Personally, if I walked down my street in a potato sack, the next outfit I would wear would be a straight jacket. But, have Alessandra Ambrosio walk the runway in the same sack, she is labeled a "style icon," a woman EVERY woman wants to be. An idol. It's the name she wears. She is known for her job. Sure she is beautiful, but I have met alot of beautiful women who demean themselves because they think they "can't compare to a supermodel." Everything is about sex-appeal in today's society. Women try so hard to be something they aren't that it leads to dangerous repercussions. I am certainly no supermodel, that I can accept. Would I like to be one? Of course! Who wouldn't!? I admit, I do flip through the same pages thinking "wow, she is gorgeous. I wish I looked like her." Fact is, not every woman is 5'10" and 105 lbs. That's just what the image of women is. Young women are getting boob jobs, tummy tucks, nose jobs, botox, ect. to try to be like these women in magazines. Surgery of any kind is dangerous. We have all seen the editorial in the gossip magazines about a tummy tuck gone wrong or a lop-sided silicone boob. The worst part is the younger generation. The pre-teen girls who are picked on and teased at school because they are slightly larger than other girls their age. That kind of teasing can lead to them harming themselves or other people. In today's society, women and young girls, are all made to think they have to be perfect to be beautiful. Maybe soon we will all see 5'3 160 lb girls walking the runway, even if it is in a potato sack.

SOS Fellow Bloggers!

Ok, I realize it has been ages since I have made any kind of effort to even show you guys that I am still, in fact, alive. I have been super busy with everything! Although I live RIGHT next door to work now, it seems as thought my schedule has gotten fuller! How is this? Anywho, I have tried a few times to post, but it always ends the same; me starring at the blinking cursor in the Title line. =\ Well, today, I need your help. It's gotten very warm here is good 'ole Alabama and I haven't exactly had time to coordinate my spring closet. I do, however, have numerous pairs of shoes I have YET to wear. One style I have had immaculate trouble with; booties. I cannot seem to find a way to coordinate booties with either a dress, skirt, or shorts!! Sure, the picture in my head looks great, but when I put it on my body, yea not so much. This is where I need your help. Can you guys give me some tips and/or pointers on how to put booties in my spring and summer closet?

Is this really acceptable in the fashion world?

I'm Still Kickin' it!

Hello again fellow bloggers and faithful followers of mine. I apologize for neglecting you guys so. Truth is, I have been completely and outrageously busy since I have returned from my fun filled get-away! I didn't move to FL =( instead, I went ahead and rented a little apartment right next to my office. With gas prices and all, it seemed a better fit to stay with my current job instead of starting over a lower pay grade and just walk to work. However, walking a block of asphalt, speed bumps, and dodging zipping cars in heels isn't my forte, I manage it fine. We just recently had a new office built and I have a little office of my own now! Moving into the new office and my new apartment is what has gotten me behind.  I still have alot to do to get you guys up to speed. Until then!! XX!

Greetings from New Mexico!

I haven't posted in a while and I apologize. HOWEVER, I have been on serious vacation.. haha MUCH needed vacation! It started off on the 11th of Feb. I (for the first time EVER) flew from Atlanta to SEATTLE! Its absolutely GORGEOUS! Stayed in Seattle for a few days and enjoyed the city. Tuesday, I left headed home.. However, I am not flying back. Im driving back! Yes, driving ALL the way back to ALABAMA! Oregon was absolutely GORGEOUS! Im envious of anyone who lives there! It SNOWED! Keep in mind im from Alabama and it has only snowed there three times in 20 years! The next stop was HOLLYWOOOOOD! I was so excited coming over the mountain and seeing that beautiful skyline of Los Angeles. We went to see the Hollywood sign and then it was time to find a place to stay for the night. Well, there was a hotel in north Hollywood.. Now, when you think of Hollywood, what comes to mind? Expensive, 5 star, top class? Yea? Me too... well nooo not so much. I was terrified for my LIFE! The hotel we went to was literally in the ghetto. I never would've thought Hollywood would even have a ghetto. Well anyway, we get in and there is train graffiti on the walls, doors, and windows, gum and DEAD WORMS on the wall by the bed, cobwebs on the walls and torn bead spreads. It really looked like it hadn't been cleaned! I take a look around and immediately say "Nope! Not stayin here!" and walk out. We try to get the money back and can only get half but the lady at the desk was like "please, let me get you a better room." Seriously? We couldn't get it to begin with?! Heck no.. so we leave and head to a best western. I would've rather slept outside with the thugs that were ganged up by the door! It was pure hell. Today, we made it through Arizona which was nothing but desert and cactus. Not much to see. Now, I am here in a hotel (a very comfortable one) in New Mexico! I have PLENTY of pictures and a few videos of the whole trip which I will attach as soon as I get home! Wish me luck on the duration of my escapades! XX

Trying a New Makeup..

I am the worlds worst about buying a new makeup every few weeks. I have yet to come across one I like ( I am having serious de ja vu about this article...) Anywho, I have a really oily T-zone and forehead that HAS to have alot of moisturizer or else it dries out.. seriously my forehead has a mind of its own.. haha. That was my sad attempt at a "get it? nudge nudge" thing. Ok so, normally I'm a Maybelline kinda gal, but those are obviously not working for me so I tried Revlon. I got the Colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin. So far so good. The powder I bought is the Colorstay Aqua Mineral powder. I love putting it on! It feels like it's wet! So cool =) Anywho, the foundation is 16 hour wear and it seems to be working pretty well so far! I took a photo this morning after I put it on (which is bad quality btw.. sorry) and a photo after 5 hours. It hasn't budged =) and this is after my "lunch break" which actually consists of running errands, flipping off old slow drivers, and grabbing a bite of greasy pizza on the way back. =)) *psst I was kidding about the flipping off old people part.. but some of them really make me want to.. especially after they sit through 3 green lights before they decide to run the red one.. UGG! Anywho, here are the photos!

Fresh Face =)

After crazy lunch.. can't ya tell by the hair =\

Again, I apologize for the poor quality but you can take my word for it =) This stuff is amazing!

I Must Admit..

I  have a girl crush on Emma Stone!

Last weekend, I watched Easy A. It was the first time I'd seen it, I'm kind of slacking on movies. Anyway, Emma Stone is definitely someone to look out for.

Movies she is known for:
  • Superbad- Jules
  • The House Bunny- Natalie
  • Ghost of Girlfriends Past- Allison Vandermeersh
  • Zombieland- Wichita
  • Easy A- Olive
She Is absolutely gorgeous! My opinion, she, along with Isla Fisher, makes it easy to pull off red hair! Then,  I found out that Emma is naturally a blonde! She changed it because her friend Judd Apatow suggested it for the movie "Superbad," and liked it so much she decided to keep it. Well, she is now a blonde again and I love it! She looks totally different!

Here she is with red hair. She has this very seductive look goin' on here.. but beautiful none-the-less!

And blonde, which she changed for her role as Gwen in the new Spider-Man. I really like her as a blonde! I actually thought this was Jaime Presley when I first saw the pictures from Golden Globes! If your an Emma fan then be sure to look out for her up coming movies which I have listed below courtesy of IMDB!

  • Spider Man Reboot- Gwen Stacey (filming)
  • The Croop- EEP (Post production)
  • The Help- Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan  (post production)
  • Friends With Benefits (post production)
  • Crazy, Stupid, Love (completed)
  • Movie 43 (completed)
Be sure to check out Glamour.com or IMDB.com for more on Emma Stone!

Space Needle

Yesterday, I bought my first plane ticket. Next month, I will be flying across country to Seattle, WA. I'm SO excited! I've lived a very sheltered deprived life and haven't ever been anywhere!  I have a friend who is stationed there and is being moved to Japan. So, I'm flying out and were driving back. Let me remind you I'm in ALABAMA.. that's gonna be a looong drive but I'm really excited (can't you tell? I keep saying that haha).  I have already warned my friend that we will HAVE to stop at every single State sign on the way!  Then, when I get back, I'm moving to FL. February is going to be a very busy month!

This past weekend, I went down to my "new home." It's a beautiful, quaint little apartment right in the middle of town which is exactly how I like it. Ever since I was little, the sound of traffic helps me sleep where as complete silence gives me nightmares (no kidding.) Not to mention, its literally right down the street from the beach! While I was down, one of my girlfriends called and asked me how everything was going. She then asked me "do you just feel like you belong there?" I really did. I really felt like it's where I'm supposed to be. It's a big change from 'Town with no caution light, max 200 people' to 'Huge city by beach minimum 439,000 people!' but it's time. Time to get my book started!

Beach Season Draws Near!

Well, tanning season has started. Which means Beach Season is quick on it's heels. I have been doing some searching for swim suits. I have come across three and I need your help deciding! Two are  Victorias Secret Bombshell Bikinis. Which means they add two cup sizes just like the bras (which are amazing by the way!) I will just have to keep in mind not to go in the water or I will sink (haha!). The other is a zebra printed Bandeau top. I love it because it can be strapless or halter. I can't decided which one I like better!
I really love this one! Leopard is def in but I wonder if it looks to... undergarmenty, Yea.. I just made that up =) Or maybe it could be because it looks amazing on Candice =)

I've always loved black. In anything. It's def slimming and it makes you look darker which is something I really need until I no longer blend in with beach sand!

I absolutely love this one too! Candice looking gorgeous as always.. Hell, if I was that tiny any swimsuit would look good on me too! The point I have to keep in mind is it's zebra print.. Im not supposed to actually look like a zebra! =) hehe

What do you think?

Flying South

This week has been pure hell. Getting up in the mornings were a struggle. Thank you guys who left me comments on all of this stuff im going through. It's means alot and shows alot about your character to care about someone you don't  know. Thanks again. I say that to say this.. I realized that maybe all of this is happening because it wasn't supposed to happen yet. Right at my breaking point I had a really good friend come to my rescue. I shall call this friend.... Q. Well, Q, being in the same spot I am in, offered me a fresh start, in a new state, hours away from where I am now. FLORIDA! Pensacola, FL to be exact. Well, Q made me realize that new beginnings are always best. Not to stay in a place of bad memories, but close this book and start writing a new one. So, that's what I am going to do. Put the past behind me and start a new book. Wish me luck!
