Studies Show...

I read in an article that the amount of skin a woman should show to attract a man is only 40%.  40%!! Can you believe that!! So letting the junk in your trunk hang out isn't what a man wants to see? I know it's certainly not what I want to see. The article also said that "showing too much flesh puts men off because it suggests they may be unfaithful."

For instance: One Shoulder mini dresses.

I think they are adorable. But are they too much? Would you classify this as bearing a little more than necessary to attract the right attention or put it in a "if you have it, flaunt it" class?

I like it. I think its sexy and conservative. In a way. I think it says  " I know how to be sexy without being easy."  Its perfect for a night on the town, but probably not so much meeting the parents for the first time... in that situation stick with the moo moo.. Gotta impress the mom!! =)

Or how about the pencil skirt?

Now this, this I think is definitely sexy! It will go in the "if you have it, flaunt it" class. I love how she chose to be modest at the legs and a little more revealing up top. But not to much. This outfit shows she has shape without actually showing the shape in all its glory! I certainly couldn't pull it off. My hourglass has a few extra minutes around the edges but I'm working on those! =)

Do you agree with the study? Or do you think that universities are spending way to much time on useless information when they could be finding a cure for cancer?

Charlotte Russe, Body Central, and Trade Secret Haul!

Haul Time!!

I am putting up things that I bought on my recent shopping trip. I absolutely LOVE Charlotte Russe so you will be seeing ALOT of my stuff from there. I love how everything they have is so classy and chic yet can also be sophisticated and professional which is just my style.

First, is two rings I bought from CR. I LOOOVE the owl ring. It is a two finger connector ring and actually quite big. The second is an elephant ring.. pretty much self explanatory.

Next is SHOOOOES!

I can do a WHOLE blog on shoes.. not just a post.. but a whole blog. I am addicted.. I should join SSA (Shoe Shopping Anonymous) ;)
The ones I decided to get are black faux suede open toed booties. The heels are 6 inches. I wear heels 6 days a week and my philosophy... the higher, the better!!

My new headbands are also pictured. One has faux silver pearls interchanging with diamonds, and the second is black with a black and white polka dot bow. The third one I adore.. it gives me a sweet and innocent feel. It is white with white flowers.

Next will be the hair product, from Trade Secret, I talked about in my previous post. The little tube on the right is a conditioner that also helps with the feeling and structure on your hair.

Lastly I visited Body Central. They had a really good sale on jewelery but I could only find one I really liked. It is in the shape of a bird! It's so cute! The next thing I purchased from there is just a plain black T. It's so comfortable, I have one in grey just like it. =))

That's pretty much it! I just wanted to drop in and do a post on my most recent shopping experience! I will be adding to this later on. I have SOOO many more things! It literally took me an hour to post this because I kept falling asleep! Hope you guys enjoy!

Experiment Time!

I've decided to do an experiment.

I'm trying this new hair conditioning serum. It's called HealthySexyHair Soy Renewal. Its part of the BigSexyHair product line. It has Argan Oil in it so it's supposed to smooth frizzy ends and make your hair shiny. I could see a BIG difference after the FIRST use! After drying, my hair is alot softer and my God awful split ends are less noticeable! Something even better, it cut my drying time IN HALF!  I was really shocked at how it turned out!  I will keep you updated on how it works over time.

This is what it looks like in case you want to check it out. I bought it from Trade Secret but I'm sure you can find it in beauty salons or Ulta.

Few of My Favorites.. in Photos!

These are just a few of my favorite things. I am LOVING Gucci's GUILTY perfume. It smells AAAAAAMAZING!  Another thing I'm into right now is M.A.C Prolong Foundation. It really does stay on ALL day! Exactly how you look when you first apply it! I would definitely recommend this product for someone who has an oily T-zone like me and has a hard time finding a foundation that doesn't have to be touched up throughout the day. Another thing I would recommend is Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes. They do not have a lot of fall out and the colors are gorgeous!

What are some of your favorite things, or some things you just can't live without?

The DO's and DONT's of LEGGINGS!

I realized today exactly how OCD I really am. My closet is color coordinated and in order according to strap and sleeve width. Even my fingernail polishes are in order according to the rainbow.. ROY G BIV.  The way I see it is if I wanted to wear something, I knew exactly where it should be. If it wasn't there, then I knew it was dirty. That way, I'm not spending time rummaging through all three of my closets looking for something. You call it weird, I call it "time efficient" =)).

Leggings...

Leggings are super cute.. if you know how to wear them.

1. Legging DO: DO pair them with booties or high heel pumps. Wearing them with high heels will draw attention to your legs and make them look longer and more toned.
2. Legging DONT: DO NOT wear leggings as PANTS! It's cute on 10 and under year old girls.  I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've seen this. It looks AWFUL LADIES! Majority of the women who wear them this way are big girls. Plain and simple. Ladies, I'm SO happy that you are confident in yourself, I really am, but it really doesn't look good if you happen to be part of the select few who have.. how should I put this.. crevices and dimples on your butt and legs. It DOES show through the leggings and if your wearing a short shirt with this; the whole world can see what only you and God should be seeing =))
3. Legging DO: Try wearing leggings with a sweater DRESS instead of a short shirt. You can add a high waisted belt to it and viola! You have accessorized AND made yourself look thinner!
4. Legging DONT: Animal prints and bold colors. This goes back to the previous comment.. They look cute on 10 year olds and under. We don't need any more Amy Whinehouse's running around. Animal prints and bright bold colors make you look bigger and younger. I don't know about you, but neither of which I want!
5. Legging DONT: Holy Leggings. Leggings that look like you took a knife to them looks trashy. Unless your wearing them in the bedroom for a sizzling night in with your beau.. THEN there ok ;)

This is DEFINITELY a good example of  a fashion NO NO!
What do you think? Let me know your opinion on this!

Accessories, Accessories, ACCESSORIES!!!

Accessories are always important in an outfit. They can take a simple day outfit and turn it into a stunning night outfit. Just add a bulky necklace and some bangles and your good to go. As for earrings, the bigger, the better!!

I was reading an article on Anthropology's new "Accessories- Only" Boutique.  They are strictly dedicated to accessories, obviously. Shoes, belts, old school bracelets and necklaces, etc. I love accessories. I have recently became a fan of floppy hats. Sure, they are for Summer, but who doesn't love relaxing on the beach with a floppy hat?! Anthropology has these new bracelets. I'm not exactly sure if you WOULD call them bracelets. Quite frankly, I'm not exactly sure what to think of them just yet. What do you think?

Maybe if you pair them with a vintage floral dress and a tan straw floppy hat? (seriously, love floppy hats) I don't know. They make me think someone got mad and decided to go Hulk on a teacup and punch the bottom out. I'm really not sure how you can incorporate half of a teacup into something fun and/sophisticated. Let's work on this one together. Can you think of anything else that would make tea time a little more glamorous?

Confidence is Key...

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.."

Margaret Wolfe Hungerford was dead on when she said this. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder; and the beholder is you.

Having confidence in yourself is the first step in being beautiful. If you walk around all day with baggy clothes on and your hair in a mess and no makeup on, literally like you do not care what people think, they will tend to think the worst.  Walking with confidence like the whole world has stopped to look at you, now that, is beautiful. Im here to help. I may not be a fashion guru yet, but im working on it. You guys will be my critics and help me make my leap into the world of  fashion as I help you become more confident and beautiful starting from the inside, out!
