Too Young to be Bullied.

Every weekend, I take my little one to the park for some playtime. He is 2 and loves playing on the slides and with other kids. Last weekend, I had an experience that completely broke my heart and made me livid all at the same time. Kade was playing with a telescope off by himself and this girl, who was as tall as me and had to be at least 10, came running up and just pushed him out of the way. Kade looked at her and said "You go away!" and she pushed him again and said "YOU go away!" At that point I was running up the steps to where he was, grabbed him up and went off on that little girl. I told her not to EVER put her hands on my child again and she needed to learn a thing or two about sharing. By this point she decided to say "well he needs to share!" I looked at her with an "are you effin stupid?" look and said "he is TWO and was minding his own business so keep your hands OFF of him!" I was so mad and yet I wanted to cry at the same time. I don't think I can handle my baby being bullied. I cannot believe how parents are raising their kids now-a-days. It's disgusting. Not to mention, her parents were no where to be found. Would any of you handle it any differently? Have any of you been in this situation?

Spring has Sprung!

I  am overjoyed that spring has come! Flowers blooming, birds chirping, occasional sneezes... It is a beautiful 78 degrees today and perfect weather. Hopefully it is nice where ever you are! Happy Spring!

Changes a-comin'

Next week we find out  our duty station. I am so nervous but so excited at the same time. There are so many places to see and being a military wife is definitely a way to see such places. JB had a "wish list" he was allowed to fill out at the beginning of his training. Although, it might as well be called a "your never getting these places list" because very rarely do any of the soldiers get a place of their choice. I suppose the higher up your rank, the easier it is to get one of these places but that would mean really, really high up. Anywho, JB got a choice of 4. Two overseas, and two stateside. He chose Georgia (it's the closest to home and still 3 hours away), Texas, Alaska (since its considered overseas (odd?)) and Italy (obviously).  I have been praying hard for Georgia. Yet a part (small part) of me hopes for Seattle. I love Seattle. I am terrified of Korea (can't go there from what I was told) but with my luck, that's going to be it. I hope not. I pray not. But, I have no control what-so-ever over the station choice, so I might as well suck it up, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Everyone, please pray for Georgia. Hell, please pray for a United States station.

On another note, I have started running again. I love running. Have been doing it since I was a sophomore in high school (7 years roughly). I stopped running around December. I hate running in the cold. It hurts my chest and causes nose bleeds (ick). Since the weather has been a gorgeous 65-70 here the past 2 weeks, I broke out my running shoes again! It really surprises me every year how I can go without running for 3 months and start back feeling like I haven't missed anything. I thank God for that because it would suck having to basically start over. It also helps with my stress relief from all of this Army stuff. Still getting used to the one thing in my life I have no control over.

Along with running again, I have also joined a church. I haven't been to church since I was 7 but I have always been a Christian. I accepted Christ as my Savior years ago and felt for a long time I didn't need to be in church to be saved. It has finally gotten to that point that I feel God is leading me to church for a reason and I need to listen.

Arizona Bound.. AGAIN!

So, today I booked my flight to Arizona to see my love. I haven't been to Arizona since last year and I fell in love with it. Yes, it is desert but there is just something about it. I guess because it is so different from Alabama.  I leave Atlanta on April 6th and get to spend 2 amazing days with him. I am so excited I could pee! I haven't seen him since February 2nd, and even then it was just for a few hours so this trip means so much and I can not contain my excitement. However, I would've rather found a different means of transportation for $600 if I had more than just 2 days. My piggy bank is very skinny now. But, it will be worth it! I miss him so much. I am still trying to get used to this Army thing. Do not let anyone tell you it's easy being an Army spouse because it isn't. There isn't anything "easy" about it. Waiting, as simple a word as it sounds, is the hardest thing I have ever done. But, when you're completely in love with someone, you do things you didn't think you were strong enough to do and I will wait for him as long as it takes. Praying all the way.

Oscar Night!

I am sure all of you are up to speed on the latest Oscar Academy Awards best and worst dressed. Now, I may have missed something but I didn't see anything bad this year! A couple of my favorites were Emma Stone (obviously), that red Giambattista Valli gown looked absolutely stunning on her!

My next favorite is the always astounding Angelina Jolie. Who stunned everyone with not only her nice stems (or stem I should say) but her gorgeous black velvet Versace dress!  Dressing Stars: Versace gets it right!

Then, there is Octavia Spencer, who not only looked gorgeous in a Tadashi Shoji  boatneck gown, won an Oscar for best supporting actress for The Help, but also represented her home state of good ole' Alabama! I love the way this dress fits her! The rouching in the center is definitely an eye catcher! We're proud of you girl!

Let's not forget our leading lady from last year, Natalie Portman, who wore a fun yet elegant Dior gown with subtle polka-dots. She is one of my favorite actresses, always stunning and beautiful.

Let's take a break from the favorites and talk about the "not so favorite". One of my least favorite dresses would have to be Kristen Wiig. Now don't get me wrong, I love her as an actress, but the dress she chose was way to close to her skin tone. You would think she was naked from a distance.

And then there was Stacey Keibler. Lord, bless her heart, she is trying so hard. "When female wrestling doesn't get you noticed, date a very hott actor." The Marchesa gown she wore made her look a little disproportionate. Its a gorgeous color but I think the giant flower on her hip was a bit much.

Next I have Rooney Mara. Now, I have not seen The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo but I have heard so much about it and it is so hard to think something as dangerous as her can come out of such a sweet and innocent looking Mara. However, I did not know what to make of her dress. I wasn't a fan of the bust area. Modern day Madonna.

Back to the favorites. According to twitter (and my own personal opinion), Jessica Chastain awed onlookers and fans alike in her Alexander Mcqueen gown that was draped in over $2 million worth of Harry Winston yellow diamonds.

How amazing did Michelle Williams look in her Louis Vuitton gown?? With her pale skin tone the red really popped and made her look flawless!

Then we have the always gorgeous Penelope Cruz who veered away from the seemingly popular fit-and- flare, with a beautiful lavender A-line, off the shoulder Armani gown. 

There were so many gorgeous men and women at the Oscars last night! I  wish I could post them all! Congrats to all the winners! They are truly deserved. What did you guys think of the Oscars? Who was your best and worst dressed?
