Shoes are THE Anti-Depressant.

I have been really busy lately with trying to get things in order for the wedding. It's still in the early phases of planning so there really is only so much I can do at the moment. I have picked out a few things already, such as my DRESS, the theme, colors, and the ring bearer pillow (which I made myself and I am very proud of it!). I will attach a picture below of some of the things I have picked out. Except the dress! Can't have the Fiancee sneaking on here at some point and seeing me in it before the wedding!

I have also been working out alot too. Nike has an APP on the iPhone (that's free to download) called NTC- Nike Training Club. It's an incredible app! There are different sections to target whichever area your wanting and those workouts are about 15 minutes long. There are also areas such as Get Lean, Get Toned, so on so forth. Those workouts start at 30 minutes and go to 45 minutes. The cardio is AMAZING! I can definitely FEEL and TELL a difference after just ONE week! Not to mention, sweating is good for your skin so, ladies, you should really try this out! Even if you just download it to see what its like! You can set your own music (which I have a workout playlist) and during the workout they show you the moves and tell you how long you have to go. And, you get rewards after you "unlock" workouts, meaning you have to complete them of course. I am currently at 120 minutes and I have unlocked some amazing energy, metabolic, ect. smoothie recipes! Really, you should check it out!

Last but not least, with my future hubby being gone and me not being able to talk to him, It can get kind of lonely.  So, in my depressing moments, I shop (shoe shopping is my weakness)  followed by dancing around to good music in every pair of heels I own. That really makes me feel better and generally takes up an hour and 1/2 of my time =) I'll show you my new babies below!  Both pair came from Charlotte Russe. That is pretty much the ONLY store I get my heels from!

Transition

I know it's been a very long time since I have posted to my blog. I was in a transition period of my life and now I am back posting about all new topics. First off, Im engaged! YAY!! I am going to be an Army Wife and I am scared sh*tless. I have no experience in this area nor have I any friends who have been through the same situation to help comfort me. So, this is definitely stressful and scary. He is currently finishing up his last 2 weeks of basic and then heading strait to AIT in Arizona the day after he graduates. We plan on getting Married in June after his AIT is over.. that is IF he gets time to come home. I'm hoping he does.. not sure how that works exactly so any words of encouragement or advice are greatly appreciated.
Our Story.

We met in August, at a bar (how fitting). It was funny how it happened. It was a Wednesday and I hadn't planned on going out anywhere that night, but my girlfriend was meeting this guy there and she wanted me to be her wingman. So I decided to go. While we were there, she was talking with this guy she had been planning on meeting and I was talking with another group of friends when this exceptionally handsome man walked into the pool room. He was on the phone for literally 10 seconds when he turned and walked out.  I went to find my friend to express my joy and astonishment of actually seeing a guy of his nature in a bar...like that. Well, when I walked up to her and her guy to tell her about him, low and behold, there he was. Turns out HE was also a wingman for the guy meeting my friend. Weird! Well, I told my gf about him and she told her guy and it went from there. He came up to me and asked me to dance and that's how it started. Turns out he was a social worker for Child Protective Services which was great for me, finally someone NOT in the army! (If you have read my blog prior to this post, you'll understand the bad luck I have had with boyfriends in the military.) On our first date, we went to the drive-in to see Capt. America. He asked me during the movie how I felt about the military. "I think it's great! I am a big supporter of our Military!" his response "that's great! I leave for basic on Oct 31st!" well, I spoke too soon about being away from guys in the military, I guess it's a sign. ;) Anywho, I took that sign and ran with it and I am so glad I did! He left for basic on Halloween and wasn't able to communicate with me except through letter for 6 weeks. Then he was able to come home for Christmas which was called a "free leave" I think because EVERYONE was sent home. On Christmas Eve, we were sitting under the tree and opening gifts from each other. He gave me this pretty wrapped tiny box, I wouldve thought it was a ring if it wasn't for the fact that the whole time he was home, he recruited his friends and family into bringing up the "marriage" topic in which he made CLEAR he wasn't ready for! Which then kinda hurt my feelings. So, I was thinking this box may have some pretty earrings in it or something... anything EXCEPT a ring. When I opened the box, I thought my eyes had deceived me! It was the most GORGEOUS diamond ring I had ever seen and it was MINE! I immediately started crying and the first thing I said was "this isnt earrings!" He then laughed at me and said "so is that a yes?" Where I then began to cry even harder, barely getting out the word "yes". It was more like a "yehehehehssss". I couldn't have been happier. So now, Im trying to plan a wedding that I HOPE happens in June. But, all of you who have been in this situation before knows how unpredictible the military can be.

Wish me luck on my journey to Destination UNKNOWN!

Egg Facial

I have finally found a cheap and easy facial that I actually enjoy. Not to mention, you can do it at home so that's always a plus. I usually do this after I get out of the shower when my pores are nice and open.

1st- I take one egg and crack it open.
2nd- Split the egg whites and the yolk into 2 separate bowls.
3rd- Take a fork to the egg whites. When you see bubbles you know it's good to go
4th- Rub the egg whites on your face, keeping away from eyes of course, and wait until its dry. You can always use the "smile technique."
5th- Wash it off with warm water.

For step number 6, take the egg yolk and rub on your face and allow to dry as well. And rinse. The egg yolk will act as a natural moisturizer.

After the egg facial, I usually follow up with a green tea ice facial to keep the moisturizers locked in. To make the Green tea cubes just follow these few steps

1. Take a glass of water and put it in the microwave until its warm.
2. Open a green tea bag and pour the contents into the glass.
3. Stir.
4. Pour the contents of the glass into an ice cube tray and freeze.

Just that simple!

Hope this helps! I know after countless tries and remedies that did nothing but either dry my face out or make it very oily, I have finally found one that gives me what I need!

Equipment Failure

I have had numerous blogs in mind. Quite a few, really. From clothes, to shoes, to new smashbox makeup I'm over the moon about (EEEEE!), my hauls and blogs have become less and less. However, I do have a very good explanation... My camera is broken. Seriously fried. I cut it on to take the pictures and the screen just went completely fuzzy and wouldn't even take a picture. So, getting frustrated with it, I turned to my trusty blackberry. Yeah, well so much for that, it won't even let me send pictures to any of the 10 email address I have. So I am literally up the creek without a paddle. The last haul I did with the lotions and hair products I actually had to go and copy the pictures off Bing (sorry Bing I didn't cite you for them) but I have alot of new outfits and shoes and I can't do that with them =( So ladies, I regret to inform you that I shall not be doing hauls until I can get equipment that isn't completely lame. I have been looking at a Nikon D3100. =) My birthday is coming up in less than a month.. shall we say "happy birthday to myself?" hehe!

As for what I'm listening to right now.. bringing it back old school! Enjoy!

Save the Day

Hi Dolls!

I went out shopping this afternoon and managed to pick up a few goodies. I went to Bath and Body Works and picked up the Aromatherapy lotions Sensual Blackcurrent and Vanilla and Stress relieving eucalyptus Spearmint. They smell devine! The Spearmint will definitely open up your airways that's for sure and the blackcurrent helps strike the mood ;) or soooo the bottle says (hehe). Anywho, I also picked up one of their new fragrances called Country Chic (Chick or Sheek is debatable on pronunciations.) Then, I mozied over to Wal-Mart to pick up some Tresemme Heat Tamer and Coconut Milk Anti Breakage Hair Serum. The Heat Tamer I see used by everyone on YouTube and they absolutely swear by it so I'm gonna make a bold switch from my CHI heat protectant and try this out for once. The Coconut milk nourishes hair while the other ingredients (egg whites, shae butter, and coconut oil) add strength and hydration. I have also heard alot of good things about this too so were gonna see and I will keep you guys updated! I did buy clothes and a few pairs of shoes but that haul will be saved for another day!

Now for a sweet story, While leaving, I ran into a bit of trouble. My car wouldn't start! The wires that connect the fuse box to the battery came out! I was stranded.. Then, along came a very hunky Army Soldier to help me out. He then proceeded to explain what the problem was and told me how it could be fixed. Then drove me across the road to buy a new wire and he spent an hour fixing it for me =) Needless to say, he got my number and I owe him dinner. Wonderful end to a Monday wouldn't you say?!

Bad Hair Day

Vitamins, shampoos, heat bans... why aren't they working!?

My hair refuses to grow.. I have tried everything I can think of and quite frankly, we have a very strong love/hate relationship...  I watched a few YouTube videos today on "tips to make your hair grow." In every one of them, the following was listed: Heat ban came in at #1.. (ha, with my Foxy in Goldmember frizzy hair.. I don't think so) drinking lots of water followed closely in 2nd (I have about 8 bottles a day, A DAY!) and a nice trim every 6-8 weeks. Well, at the rate my hair grows, if I trimmed it every 6-8 weeks, I'd be bald. I have tried vitamins too. Been taking Biotin for about a year.. Still nothing. My hair has grown 2 inches since last august. Anywho, the reason for my post is basically just to rant about my hate more than love relationship with my hair and share this awesome song im currently listening to. =)
I first heard Mumford and Sons on my trip to Seattle.  Absolutely Fantastic..

[ Insert Topic Here ]

When I created this blog, it's intended purpose was to give my opinion and perspective of all things beauty and fashion. As I look back, I have come to the realization that, as I do have a fond love for fashion, writing about it is just not my forte.  I always dreamed of being a big magazine editor in New York. "You watch to many movies," all of my "supporters" would tell me. "You shouldn't belittle yourself pumpkin, your going to med school!" My dad would say. Well, sorry Dad, getting pregnant at a young age demolished all my hopes and dreams of starring out of the window on the 23rd floor of a skyrise with an awesome view and my name on a gold plaque, as well as your hopes of me being Dr. Tiffany. Now, as I sit here, starring starry-eyed over other well accomplished Youtubers, Tweeters, and Bloggers, I realize I am not them, nor will I ever be them, no matter how hard I try. As far as I'll go, im sure, is my desk in my manager position at an insurance agency. A job that I loathe, because of the mere fact that it is not me in any fashion, and stuck here, in this place that has been dubbed "the circle of hell" by all who come through. My life right now can be summed up pretty easily, stuck, like a rock on the side of a riverbed. Oh, I got distracted, anywho, the point of this blog is to reiterate my plans for it. It won't be about any ONE thing in particular. I believe a great blog is made up of a variety of topics. It would get boring after a while, wouldn't you say? If I just so happen to run to the store and buy a makeup product, I may just so happen to do a review on it. If I read a good book (Pride and Prejudice at the moment) then I may just so happen do a review on that subject. Or, if I feel giddy and decide to make up something totally random to entice you lovely readers, I may just do that. Now, to bid you farewell for the night and leave you with a music video =) Enjoy!
